Air quality consultations of wildfire smoke.

Massive plumes of smoke spread of the huge fires in Southern California & Texas causing respiratory distress in thousands of people. Wildfire smoke contains not only toxic chemicals but also small particles that can clog the respiratory systems of humans and animals. These problems range from runny noses and burning eyes to more serious illnesses such as bronchitis. The particle exposure was associated with increased risk of heart attack and stroke. Worse chemicals in smoke frequently are poisonous and can cause lingering aftereffects.

The most important thing to do is to reduce the amount of outdoor air that we breathe. Using the Austin air filter in your home will significantly reduce particles in the air, the protection of the respiratory system. Austin Air uses true HEPA media to capture microscopic particles that can damage the lungs. Austin air filters also include activated charcoal to reduce chemicals and gases in the air: a greater amount of carbon in the filter, greater capacity for pollutants, it has. For example the Ionizer is 15 pounds of charcoal, while the smaller HealthMate Jr. has 7 pounds of activated carbon.

Austin Air is doing everything possible to get the units and replacement filters to those in need. If you have any questions or concerns or anything we can help you, visit us at www.austinair.com or call 1-800-724-8403.

If it were not for the 4 Austin Air Purifiers that I use in my home, I would have been forced to drive out of the area. I'm a cripple, which leads me to be extremely sensitive to chemicalsl/smoke/fragrance. and I were locked in my bedroom on Sunday night. I pray for anyone who is breathing in the smoke. This is huge!!! Barbara j. Kiernan, the author behind the school wall, thank you, we live less than 5 km form large infernos and while our home is safely ensconced from the flames our lungs were attacked continuously for one week.

Recently (last year) I bought 3 model 200 Austin air purifiers for our rooms. They were life savors. The air outside is almost toxic at times, but the air in our bed rooms remain clean, breathable and without even a trace of smoke and soot. I plan to purchase the model 400 for our family room before the holidays. Your products live up to the hype. (Although I imagine the life expectancy of our pre filters and HEPAs were curtailed, but at least our are not.) Sincerely

Ecomajik Corporation To Offer Air Purifiers to Texas Wildfire Victims

Locally based Ecomajik Corporation announced today it will try to do it's part to help neighbors dealing with smoke damage and health concerns after the wildfires across the Austin, Texas area. The company distributes Air Purifiers with technology designed for NASA for use in the Space Shuttle. These air purifiers have long been used by the Red Cross and were employed by the Defense Department to clean the air in the Pentagon after the 911 attack.

Ecomajik will provide air purifiers to residents on a loan basis without charge. Additionally if residents are interested in purchasing units they have established a special program to help fire victims.

"My husband and I survived the wildfires in San Diego several years back. We know what challenges families have to deal with, even when your home makes it through the crisis untouched. Sometimes smoke damage can linger for weeks or months and is very unhealthy for inhabitants. Our Air Purifiers eliminate smoke and mitigate smoke damage from fires killing all odors and removing contaminants from the air." noted Susan Braun Ecomajik Corporation President. "Breathing this contaminated air can be very hazardous to your health, especially if your are an "at risk" individual." she added.

Residents in Bastrop, Moonglow, Steiner Ranch, Pedernales, Union Chapel, Luther Hill, and surrounding areas qualify for the free loan of equipment while supplies last. The air purifiers remove all contaminants from the air in homes and sanitize exposed surfaces as well. About the size of a bookshelf speaker they can clean a home up to 3,000 sq feet.

"Affected residents can call Ecomajik at 512-222-PURE (7873) and leave their names and numbers. We will contact them shortly. There are a limited number of units available for loan but we will do our best to help anyone we can." noted Braun. Additional information is available at http://www.Ecomajik.com.
